Message from the Director

Welcome to the LGRD Audit Directorate.

As a Director, I am honored to be part of an institution that plays a critical role in strengthening accountability within Local Government and Rural Development entities. Our work is centered on ensuring that public resources are utilized in a transparent, efficient, and lawful manner, ultimately contributing to improved service delivery for citizens.

The Directorate carries out a wide range of audit activities, including financial, compliance, performance, and IT audits across entities such as LGED, DPHE, and local government bodies. Through structured planning, risk-based approaches, and adherence to established audit standards, we aim to produce high-quality audit reports that add value and support informed decision-making.
