It is a privilege to welcome you to the LGRD Audit Directorate, a vital component of the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh.

In an era where accountability and transparency are essential for sustainable development, our Directorate remains committed to ensuring that public resources entrusted to Local Government and Rural Development institutions are managed efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Through our audit activities, we strive to promote good governance, strengthen institutional performance, and enhance the quality of public service delivery at the grassroots level.

Our approach is grounded in independence, objectivity, and professionalism. We conduct financial, compliance, performance, and IT audits following national standards and international best practices, including ISSAI guidelines. By providing reliable assurance and constructive recommendations, we aim to support policymakers, stakeholders, and citizens in making informed decisions.
